Congrats Avree Strobel; She is our Illinois State Scholar! Avree, along with other students nationwide, represents the top 10 percent of our students in the country. And even though there is no monetary award, it is an award that can be listed on college applications and other scholarships that distinguishes these students as the "best of the best."

Mrs. Mayer's 7th Grade Students played trashket ball to study vocabulary today!

Mrs. Boaz's English 3 class deeply delved into Jack London's classic short story To Build a Fire. This gripping tale of survival in the Yukon served as the backdrop for a creative and hands-on activity aimed at exploring themes of determination and ingenuity.
After reading and discussing the story, students were tasked with an unusual challenge: to write their names without using their hands. Just as the protagonist in London’s story must overcome physical limitations and think creatively to survive, the students had to rely on their resourcefulness and perseverance to complete the task.
Great job, Mrs. Boaz and English 3 students, for thinking outside the box and bringing Jack London's story to life in such a unique way! 🚀
