First grade students are working hard on their collage landscapes in art. They are learning about foreground, middle ground, and background.



Mrs.Hingson’s PreK classes have been learning about the letter Qq this week and talking about quilts. If you have a quilt you would be willing to let the students look at, please send it in today or tomorrow. We would love to see the shapes, colors, patterns, and materials used to make it!

HS Girls finished 2nd @ the NTC Tournament this weekend. Claire Wilhour and Olivia earned All-Tournament honors.



Brownstown jr. high and high school students had fun celebrating successfully blocking all the doors with canned goods.

Mrs. Carson’s class received their January books from their sponsors. We are small in number, but we were really excited to receive them today!


Mrs. Hoffman’s class has been studying Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today we looked at different colored eggs and learned that even though they look different, they are all the same on the inside! ❤️

We have over half of the entire third grade out with sickness today! Please please please! Wash book bags at home tonight, drink lots of water, and go to bed early! Let’s kill these germs and get these kiddos healthy again!

Amelia Satterthwaite was chosen as a kindergarten Future Leader during our morning Celebration Circle! We are so proud of Amelia!!


This week, preschoolers learned about animals that hibernate. They each received a Scholastic MyBigWorld handout that highlighted some hibernating animals(such as bear, frog, ladybug,bat, and hedgehog). They also enjoyed using watercolor paints and got to paint their favorite hibernating animal!!



Elementary art students are learning about character design. Third grade practiced designing together.





The first Wednesday of every month, 3rd-6th grade students have a health lesson for PE. Today we looked at nutrition labels and how to read them. The students did a great job and were encouraged to check out the nutrition labels on the products they have at their homes.
