Brownstown CUSD 201 Stakeholders,
The Brownstown Board of Education has received some questions and concerns from District stakeholders regarding the current format and function of the sports cooperative with St. Elmo schools.
In the interest of giving these questions and concerns the due diligence they deserve, and before taking them up for discussion or taking any position, the Board of Education is seeking input from the community. With this in mind, the Board will host a listening session to provide stakeholders the opportunity to express their position.
The listening session will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023. It will be held in the BES Cafeteria from 6:45-8:00 pm. Groups and individuals are encouraged to attend. In the interest of time, those who wish to address the Board of Education should call the District office, at the number below, prior to the meetings to be put on the agenda to speak. It is recommended that you prepare a clear, concise message beforehand, as speakers will be provided only three (3) minutes to express their position.
There will then be a Special Meeting of the Board on April 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the BES Cafeteria to discuss topics from the Listening Session.
The listening session is, by law, a public meeting of the Brownstown Board of Education. All rules and regulations that govern regular Board meetings will apply to this meeting. The listening session is intended for information gathering only. There will be no action by the Board taken at the listening session.
