Adam Hanks

Brownstown CUSD #201 is proud to welcome Mr. Hanks to our school community.

Mr. Hanks currently serves as Principal of Sandoval Elementary School and Director of Curriculum and Instruction (K–8) for Sandoval Community School District #501, a role he has held since July 2023. He brings a strong background in instructional leadership, curriculum development, and student-centered practices.

He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from McKendree University, with an anticipated completion date of Fall 2026. Mr. Hanks holds both a Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) and a Master of Arts in Education (MAED) from McKendree University, along with Principal and Superintendent Endorsements. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Greenville College and also holds a Middle School Social Studies Endorsement.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Hanks served as District Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Athletic Director for Vienna Grade School District #55 from 2019 to 2023.

Mr. Hanks and his wife, Sara, have been married for 18 years and are the proud parents of two daughters, Addison and Aftyn, and their son Luke, who is forever in their hearts. As a family, they enjoy cheering on their daughters in Studio 50 Cheerleading & Dance, attending basketball games, and supporting the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

The Hanks family is excited to become part of the Brownstown community and looks forward to wearing purple and gold while proudly cheering on the Bombers.
