The Brownstown CUSD 201 Board of Education appointed AJ Tackett to fill the vacancy on the Board. AJ was sworn in by Board President Don Bloemker at the special meeting of the Board on February 6, 2024.
The appointment will be from February 6, 2024 through the end of the current term (April 2025).
The Board previously established qualifications for the appointee in a careful and thoughtful manner. AJ Tackett boasts extensive experience which meets these qualifications and has demonstrated the willingness to accept the duties and responsibilities of a Board member. Mr. Tackett brings a clear understanding of the demands and expectations of being a Board member along with a constructive attitude toward the challenge.
On behalf of the Board of Education and myself, we welcome AJ Tackett to the Brownstown schools family and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavor.
