BHS Competes in the 2019 Envirothon

On April 11, 2019, Brownstown High School students participated in the annual Envirothon at the Ballard Nature Center in Altamont, Illinois.  The Envirothon is a competition about the different areas in the environment: Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Soils, and Agriculture and Technology.  Schools from six different counties participate in the Envirothon.

Brownstown had two teams in the Envirothon.  The students on Team 1 were Joel Bloemker, Lane Himes, Cassie Payne, Bradley Schwarm, and Makenzie Walk.  The students on Team 2 were Caleb Atwood, Jacob Baron, Andi Chandler, Nick Rosborough, and Brittney Wuehler. Both teams were coached by Mrs. Morgan Pals, Brownstown high school Science teacher.

Team 1, with 363 points, had the highest score for Fayette County.
