Brownstown is Mrs. Nail’s first full time teaching job.  She did her student teaching at the Stew-Stras school district. Mrs. Nail grew up in the country around Neoga, and currently lives in Neoga and drives to Brownstown every morning.

Mrs. Nail was so pumped to meet everyone and to start teaching music. She enjoys teaching students to sing and play instruments, and playing her flute in community bands. Ms. Nail said she was excited to meet everyone and get started at BHS. She voiced that she likes Brownstown because she wanted to work in a small, rural school. She really likes how close-knit this school is, and she wanted to be a part of that. When she heard that Brownstown was bringing music and band back, she was excited to come and be a part of something new!

Ms. Nail went to school and graduated high school at Neoga, and graduated college at Eastern Illinois University. A fun fact about herself is that she grew up working with horses. She can ride horses and knows how to drive a carriage.
