As everyone knows, Brownstown Jr/Sr High School is privileged to have several new teachers this year.  One of these new teachers is the high school English teacher, Mrs. Boaz. Let’s take a look at how she came to be a wonderful teacher.

Mrs. Boaz became interested in teaching when she was in elementary school.  During her 3rd grade year, she had an excellent teacher by the name of Mrs. Wendling.  Mrs. Wendling was the one that helped influence Mrs. Boaz choice in going into the educational field.

So, once Mrs. Boaz graduated from high school in 1987, she went first to Lake Land college in Mattoon, Illinois.  Following her graduation from Lake Land Mrs. Boaz then went to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.  She has a Bachelor Degree in History and a Masters Degree in Counseling. Mrs. Boaz has now been teaching for 16 years!  Mrs. Boaz currently resides in Brownstown with her husband, Bruce Boaz.
