One of the many new teachers Brownstown has the privilege of welcoming this year is Mrs. Carson, the new kindergarten teacher at Brownstown Elementary School.  Let’s take a look at the events leading up to her teaching here at Brownstown.

Mrs. Carson is a Brownstown alumni.  She became interested in teaching when she was in 6th grade.  Mrs. Carson’s 6th grade teacher was Ms. Lloyd. Mrs. Carson said, “Ms. Lloyd just had a way of bringing things to life!”  After Mrs. Carson graduated from Brownstown Jr/Sr High School, she earned her Associate of Science at Lake Land. Mrs. Carson then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science at Greenville University.

Mrs. Carson’s favorite part of teaching is the adventure of it.  “You never know what each day will bring,” Mrs. Carson says. This is Mrs. Carson’s second year in her teaching career, but it is her first year of teaching at Brownstown Elementary.  Mrs. Carson says, “I would like to create an environment to help the kids to socially adapt to a classroom environment.”
