In early 1990, a group of ten students in a church youth group from Burleson, Texas started to pray around their school flagpole and go around at night to different schools and pray for them. What resulted was See you at the Pole. Now millions of students of all ages around the world gather around their school flagpole and pray every year on the fourth Wednesday of September. See you at the Pole is a student organized and student led event.
On September 24, members of BHS gathered around the flagpole for a morning prayer. Students arose early from their beds to sing songs, tell stories about God, and pray for the safety of their school. Free wristbands were being passed out and shirts were for sale to promote the annual event. After prayer the students enjoyed a complimentary casserole and donut breakfast provided to them by local church group members.
