For the very first time Mrs. Wakefield implemented the bottle rocket simulator project into her curriculum. Mrs. Wakefield thought this would be a very interesting experiment and one her students would love. Her students learned the effect of force on a rocket and were instructed to build their own rockets out of soda bottles, cardboard, and toilet paper rolls. Students had complete creativity on how they were allowed to design their rockets through decoration and design. They were allowed to determine how much weight or what shape the rocket would be in order to make it fly further. Mrs. Wakefield thought it would be fun to try this experiment and over all the students really enjoyed the project. They were building their rockets inside the classroom, but they launched them outside the school on the front lawn. They are not done launching the rockets yet, they have two more times this year to shoot their rockets into the sky. Check out some of the photos below.
