Every year on the eleventh of November the United States recognizes Armistice Day, better known as Veterans Day.  Originally Armistice Day was to commemorate veterans of World War I, but as the people who served in that war began to pass the national recognition was given to all veterans of the Armed Forces.  This day is nationally celebrated on Friday, November 11th, but Brownstown schools celebrated early on Thursday, November 10th by inviting local Veterans to join us for lunch.

The Brownstown schools would like to give a big thanks to each and every Veteran for their service and dedication to our country. Local veterans who ate lunch with students on Thursday were: Ed Atwood, Adam Bales, Jake Brown, Nancy Campbell, Torney Carter, Michael Denton, David Drum, David Goldsborough, Drew Grull, Robert Hall, Bill Haller, David Hathaway, Kyle Hill, Lucas Ledbetter, Monica Ledbetter,Tracy Martin, Steve Merkley, Samuel Miller, Lynette Orechovesky, Mannie Orr, Nelson Powell, Jim Rine,Tom Rutherford, Randy Sasse, Joanie Sefton, Jack Shelton, Tom Stewart, Rod Strobel, Eric Summers, Kevin White, Michael Whitehead and Jr. Williams, Don Willms.
