Brooke Mayfield is the daughter of Chad and Shannon Mayfield. Brooke’s plans after high school are to go to Lakeland College and become a Medical Assistant.  She will attend the Medical Assistant Program they offer which is a two year program and she will receive an associates degree from it. She wants to become a medical assistant because she has had an interest in nursing but more comfortable with paperwork. She said a medical assistant does a little bit of both so she knew it was the job for her.  Brooke will achieve her goal by staying focused on her career, getting good grades, and graduating. In ten years she sees herself working in a doctor’s office or clinic around here.

Brooke's mom has been her inspiration, she has helped her accomplish the steps she has had to take to become a medical assistant.  Brooke said she is going to miss high school. Growing up she wanted to graduate and get out of school, but now she realizes that high school is the easiest thing in life. She said that “from now on it is work and bills”. Her favorite part of high school was getting to be with her friends. Brookes favorite teacher in high school is Mr. Harms.
