A big congratulations goes out to Mrs. Michele Seabaugh from BHS for her achievement as outstanding teacher of the year in IEA Region 5.   Michele Seabaugh was recently nominated by Miss Sandra Stine for all her hard work and dedication at Brownstown Community Schools. Michele teaches many different classes at Brownstown Jr./Sr. High School including computers, keyboarding, accounting, work-based co-op, and dual credit classes like strategies for success through Lakeland Community College.  After completing her master's degree she initiated this dual credit class with the local community college to allow her students more opportunities. She reaches out in other ways too by working with the local bank, The First National Bank of Brownstown, to set up savings accounts for her students to show the importance of regular deposits and account management.  She really brings real-life applications into all her classes and this is what makes her a truly great teacher and mentor.  In addition to her classroom duties, she is also the advisor for National Honors Society, a classroom sponsor, a School Community Club member and officer, a volleyball coach, and a critical part of many fundraisers and blood drives in the district, to only name a few.  This is Mrs. Seabaugh's  12th year teaching at Brownstown High School and her 18th year overall. The faculty, staff, students, and community would like to thank Mrs. Seabuagh for everything she does for this community and for making BCUSD #201 a great place to work.  Pictured above is Michele Seabaugh on the left and Sandra Stine on the right.
