Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Today, Brownstown School District will be hosting a blood drive. The American Red Cross will be set up in the elementary cafeteria from 2 through 7 p.m. to collect blood from willing, eligible donors. Volunteers will answer some brief questions about their health history, have a simple finger prick test for iron levels, then be prepped to give a pint a blood. Individual appointments have been set up by Student Council and National Honor Society students, but walk-ins are welcome at any time. All donors require proof of identification, and students sixteen years of age need to have a parent consent form signed and ready.
