On October 13, 2016, Brownstown firefighters and EMTs visited Brownstown Elementary School to educate children on the importance of fire safety.  Students were taught the procedures a fireman goes through when evacuating a house and how to “stop, drop, and roll” with a skit of singing puppets. Three fire trucks and one ambulance were present.  The firefighters showed kids their trucks and let them spray the hoses.  BES students learned about the work day of a volunteer firefighter in the village of Brownstown.  The students always enjoy when the firefighters and EMTs show up for Fire Safety Day.
