The Brownstown Fire Department and local EMT’s came to both the high school and elementary on October 7th. The Brownstown Fire Department started at the high school with a mock fire drill. They put a fog machine in the end of the junior high hallway to make the students think about what to do if an exit was actually blocked, which directed students to use another alternative route to exit the building. After the drill they went to the elementary to teach the kids about fire safety and prevention. The fire department showed the kids the truck and equipment after the lesson. At the end of the day the kids got to spray the fire hoses with local firefighters at their side.
