Heart disease affects nearly every family around the world.  With so many affected, the likelihood of observing someone suffer from complications outside of a hospital is highly possible.  This is the reason why students and adults need to know what to do in one of these situations.  As of May 20, 2014 in the state of Illinois, HB 3724 requires that training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) be included in the curriculum of all secondary schools.  The equipment necessary to teach these skills includes mannequins and AED simulators which were bought by the Regional Office of Education #3.  The equipment is available to every school in Bond, Christian, Effingham, Fayette, and Montgomery counties.  Ms. Stine's health class has been practicing on the equipment as shown in the pictures, and will now be prepared for the future.
