On November 4th, wrestlers from Pro Wrestling Epic were featured at Brownstown Jr/Sr High School for the second annual Beatdown in Brownstown as a fundraiser for the sports program. A total of 175 people were in attendance and raised $700 in funds. At last year’s event there were 164 in attendance and 7 matches in total. This time Pro Wrestling Epic put on another spectacular event at BHS with some exciting matches.

The event started at 7 pm and with 5 matches the event ended around 9 pm. The first match was a 3 person match with Jake Parnell winning against KLD and Gary. The second match featured Barackus and Johnny Blade, with Barackus winning the match. Billy Mcneil defended the WOE interstate championship against Danny Adams. Melanie Cruise defeated Matt Kenway in the second to last match. For the main event, Brandon Aarons became the new PWE champion after defeating Leone Mephisto.

Based in the St. louis metropolitan area, Pro Wrestling Epic was founded on August 31st 2014. Their first event was held in Springfield Illinois in 2009 at Club Chrome. The same year they were a part of the Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival. In April of 2010 PWE started doing regular shows at the Mount Pulaski American Legion Hall until May of 2013. Also in August of 2013 PWE started doing shows at the Waynesville Fall Fling where they continue to hold events today. In April 2011 PWE started an “Epic 8 Tournament” where they would feature the best independent talent from the midwest and give them a chance at the PWE title. Pro Wrestling Epic has a short history, but they bring an exciting punch with them to every event. BHS would like to thank them for coming to Brownstown and supporting our sports programs.
