The Brownstown Jr./Sr. High School participated in the Young Minds Change Lives Scholarship Program held by the American Red Cross Blood Services.  Because BHS has held an ACR blood drive this school year, our school was eligible to participate in the scholarship program.  The scholarship amount awarded by the Red Cross to a graduating senior is determined by totalling the number of units collected at the school blood drive held at BHS. This year Bethany Oberlink was the recipient of the American Red Cross Scholarship for the 2013-2014 school year.

If the donations were between 30-100, the scholarship amount would be $250.  101-200 donations would equal $500, and more than 200 donations would equal $750.  Recipients of our school will determine the scholarship recipient.  Even if the choosing recipient is not a donor and was not involved with the blood drive, they may still be chosen.

Your donation provides critical support for those in need.  If you would like to donate to the American Red Cross, contact  them on www.redcross.org.  It feels good to give!
