On Friday, April 22, the annual SCC carnival took place at the Brownstown Elementary School. The SCC holds an annual carnival to bring the community together by offering food, games, and prizes. The carnival also raises money to give back to the school and community. This year, the School Community Club raised proceeds to purchase the school new iPads and SmartBoards.
This year the carnival offered a meal from County Market that included BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, homemade baked beans, cole slaw, chips, dessert, and a drink. The night included two inflatables, raffle baskets donated from local businesses, face painting, cotton candy, Bubbles the Clown, carnival games, a photo booth, and a cake walk. The SCC worked with a group called FUN to set up the carnival and offer all of these great activities.
NHS and other students volunteered with serving food, maintaining games, and face painting. Many teachers gave much of their time to help set up and work the night of the carnival also. Thanks to all those who came out for a fun filled night to support the SCC’s mission!
