10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

The Brownstown High School Drama Club performed 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse on March 31.  The play cast had a great time in the production of the play, but the seniors feel bittersweet that this was their last high school production.  It is always touching to see how a small community like ours can come together and make memories that will last a lifetime.  Delaney Schulze commented, “I am appreciative that our cast and crew ended with a strong bond and that we put on a great performance.”

Seniors Delaney Schulze and Chloe Carson narrated the play with the purpose to educate our school about zombies, and how we could survive a zombie apocalypse.  The “survivors” were Ryan Pontious, Kailey Rush, Lane Himes, Shyaire Snow, Jacob Baron, Makenzie Walk, Sierra Stephens, and Brittney Wuehler.  The “zombies” included Cameron Callaway, Seth Powell, Natalie Oberlink, and Holly Struble.  Their nana zombie was played by Elizabeth Austin.  Our jr. high English teacher Tracey Alstat directed the play. Kayla Haslett controlled the lights with Chloe Haslett and Ashlen Richards behind the curtains. The cast also needed some help with makeup, so to create zombies that were real and gorey Tracy Fifer worked her magic.

The performers are appreciative of the director and for Ashley Towler for subbing in for Ms. Alstat when needed. The entire cast and production staff would also like to say thank the parents for bringing in students for early morning practices.  Their hard work paid off in the end and everyone that attended enjoyed the play!

After the play, we hope you have all the knowledge to survive a future zombie apocalypse. From the high power experimental weapons to romancing zombies, you now have the tools to survive. But, most importantly keep calm because the zombies are coming!
