Foundation meets to discuss business, consider Fall Mini Grants

The Brownstown Education Foundation met on Tuesday, October 23, to discuss Foundation business as well as to review the applications for the 2017 Fall Mini Grants from BES, BJHS, and BHS teachers.  
The Foundation Board heard the Secretary's report on the Annual Audit meeting conducted on August 8, 2017.  All scholarship and bank records were reviewed during the audit.  There were no discrepancies noted.  The Board then reviewed the scholarships presented to BHS Seniors by the Foundation last May.  Finally, 11 applications for 2017 Fall Mini Grants were reviewed and discussed.  The Board voted to approve all eleven Mini Grants totaling $3,058.  Grants will be funded by the Foundation as the projects are carried out.
The next Foundation meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 5, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the BHS Library.
