Library Information and Services

Brownstown Jr.-Sr. High School Library is open from 8:00 A.M. to 3:45 P.M. on school days to meet the resource and leisure time needs of all students. Students are encouraged to use the library any time during the day. Please bring a pass from a supervising teacher for that period. Books, magazines (except current issues), videos, and vertical file materials are checked out for two weeks, with unlimited renewals. Fines on all overdue resources are 5 cents a day.

There are over 10,000 volumes in our library. Any requested title not owned by our library can be obtained through interlibrary loan. Our school is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System. They provide invaluable services to our school library. One such resource is the FirstSearch Database accessed through local internet connections.
There are twenty-one networked computers for student and faculty use.
